Bridge Shiphandling Simulator (BSS)

Overview:

Bridge Shiphandling Simulator (BSS) system is one of component of Altriz Naval Training Simulator which has been developed specifically for the training of ship navigation and ship manoeuvring. The development has been undertaken by Altriz Technology Sdn Bhd, in collaboration with National Defence University of Malaysia. The collaboration is in line with the Malaysian Government's programme to nurture and promote participation of local companies in the defence industry. Altriz Naval Training Simulator comprises of a product development roadmap towards of a complete framework for an extensive Bridge Shiphandling Simulator.

Bridge Shiphandling Simulator (BSS) was used to train the naval officers which focused on Ship Navigation and Ship Manoeuvring. The bridge simulator is designed on the real-world ship bridges. The bridge simulator is also equipped with other instruments such as engine order telegraph (EOT), wheelhouse, radar display, GPS display, Electronic Chart Display Information System (ECDIS) and other instrumentations that assist in making the simulation more realistic.

Altriz Technology is the only local developer of ship bridge simulator solution for the military and commercial use.
