Product Feature and Functions:

AltrizBridge Shiphandling Simulator (BSS)has a modern design equipped with current on-board instruments and equipment. A large number of different consoles are available to model the bridge of different vessel classes. The design has taken into account the latest requirements to bridge design. Our modular design makes individually laid out bridges and equipment configurations possible. This makes adaptation to special training requirements easy. The Bridge Shiphandling Simulator (BSS) is a ship's team trainer for the procedures and shipboard operations.

Our BSS is a simulator with Integrated Bridge System that can provide the following trainings for ship officers and cadets in :

  • Berthing and unberthing jetty.
  • Entering and leaving harbours.
  • Navigation in restricted water such as narrow channel.
  • Ship handling in various sea states and weather conditions.
  • Replenishment at sea manoeuvring and signalling.
  • Anchoring, mooring and weighing anchor.
  • Visual signalling by flashing, semaphore and flags.
  • Fleet manoeuvring exercises.
  • Application of Rule of the Road.
  • Application of seamanship evolutions such as man overboard procedures.
  • Radio communications procedures.
